If you take something ever so simple, ever so ordinary, something that passes the time of day without stirring that which lies within to creak and moan, and place deep down in the fibres of its heart just the glimmer of a seed of despair, it will grow. It will grow and spread like a tumor, malign to the core. Such is the Call of Cthulu...

One of our close friends and associates requested this, a piece based on some field recordings we were doing in the English seaside resort of Great Yarmouth: "Something Cthulu," he had said, "Lovecraft... and a bit funky"

The recordings we were taking were from one of the rides in the Pleasure Beach amusement park - the log flume, all clattering metal, cranking chains and the rush of spilling water splintered by yells and screams: the perfect place, perhaps, for the Ancient Ones to emerge from their murky depths and bring their terror and madness upon the surface of the earth once more.

And so was born our latest release, an exploration of the world turned dark as Cthulu calls again...
