about

From Oswald Mosley, through Enoch Powell and on to the Idiot Johnson, British politics has been plagued with right-wing extremism presenting itself as a considered response to the problems faced by the working class. It isn’t now and it never has been. From the “rivers of blood” to the “hostile environment”, from Universal Credit back to the pit closures, a war has been waged against the working class, one where the fabric of our lives has been torn apart while press and politicians have guided us to point the finger of blame at outsiders and, if that fails, at ourselves. Our attention is distracted from the truth by a media complicit in the presentation of such lies, so that all the while the rich can keep getting richer.

The Feast of the Hypocrites uses the words of some of these political figures to create a music that reflects the hell from which their bigotry spews. May they find no peace in this life or the next.
